The ceremony is just a formality but we felt like it was best to get through it sooner rather than later.

That was part of why. If we waited until we got away from here we might not have been able to involve you and other people we care about here.

I suppose it would be too much to hope that all my favorite people would wind up in places where I could visit them easily, but I suppose we'll always have letters.

It seems like there's a lot of bright futures in motion, these days.
